Joseph was a self-employed diesel mechanic and did contract work with Unit Drilling. He attended the North Folk Baptist Church. He was married and his wife, Betty, was also injured in the collision that took his life. His killer was going over 100mph when she hit the back of their truck. She was convicted and served a portion of her sentence before being paroled. She reoffended, causing another collision, in 2022 and is now a awaiting her revocation hearing. Joseph’s son and granddaughters have appealed to the DA in this case to return her to prison so she will not continue to drink, drive and harm more people.
