Katelynn Nicole Woodlee was a 2014 honors graduate of Dodd City High School. She played volleyball for four years and basketball for three years, but softball was her passion. She played Short Stop for the Dodd City Hornets softball team for four years. She was named All Texomaland and All State Short Stop and had received numerous other awards. Katelynn was awarded a softball scholarship to play for the Lions at North Central Texas College in Gainesville, Texas where she was studying Kinesiology. She loved singing and being outdoors, riding four wheelers, swimming and shooting. At the time of her death, she was riding home on the team bus from a softball game against SNU when hit by a drunk driver on I-35. Several other players were also injured and killed in the collision.
