Ruby Michele Fields, Forever 22 months old.
Our little gem was going to be a force to be reckoned with. Ruby was born with one tooth already in and another coming. She never slowed down. She was pulling up and trying to take steps at 7 months old. We did something she didn’t like, she would show her attitude. One hand on her hip, the other shaking a little finger at you. Jabbering the entire time. When I went head to head with her doing this everyone was laughing. I was told I had met my match, she had my attitude. Sadly she did, she was a challenge for me. When I told her “no, stop jabbering at me,” she would crawl into my lap facing me, take my face in her tiny hands and shake my head yes.
She shared a love of music with her Gram’pa. Pink Floyd was their favorite group. When it was nap time, she went to Gram’pa and he would start her concert on her computer he built for her when she was 2 weeks old. Right after he learned she loved Pink Floyd and would fall asleep watching the Pulses concert.
At 22 months Ruby was so full of character. She never talked, she didn’t need to. Just point and she got what she wanted. Her favorite foods, Ham, Noodles, Mac and Cheese, Lays, Chocolate Malts and Mt. Dew. She loved our dogs more than toys. But she adored her Mommy and Daddy.
