Shelby’s early years were spent on a farm, where she found joy in riding four-wheelers and developing a deep love for sports. Her athletic spirit thrived during many trips to Grand Lake, where she enjoyed waterskiing and wakeboarding, as well as adventurous excursions to Colorado for snowboarding.

Known for her kindness and compassionate nature, Shelby went out of her way to uplift others. She had a big heart and a sassy, bull-headed personality that endeared her to everyone she met. Shelby was often heard asking, “Do you need a hug today?” - a testament to her empathy and deep connection with others. She truly was a bright ball of light.

Among Shelby’s favorite treats were the “Pink Drink” from Starbucks, sushi from Doc’s, and dining at her cherished restaurant, The Bros. Houligan, affectionately known as “the gravy place.”

As a sophomore at Bixby High School, Shelby was actively involved in FFA and had a passion for ballet and tumbling from a young age. Her commitment to OXC competitive cheer showcased her dedication to both athleticism and teamwork. Shelby’s love for horses led her to horse camp, where she excelled in the role of an instructor, particularly in her expertise at “loving on the horses.”

Dreaming of a future in hairstyling, Shelby was a girl with aspirations and a heart full of love. She shared an unbreakable bond with her mother, Brittany, often confiding in her and finding solace in their friendship. Shelby’s pet bunny, Milo, was a source of joy and comfort in her life.
